A reminder to all members the transfer and relocation period for Civilian Employees is currently on going. The transfer and relocation period goes through 4:30 PM on Monday, September 16, 2019.
The request form for transfers is only available online. The online form enables employees to access the request form from anywhere at any time during the transfer period. Paper copies will not be accepted. A reminder that you must fill out the transfer form each time the transfer period comes open. If you put in a transfer back in March 2019, you must put in a transfer again that will be valid from September 14, 2019 until March 2020. You must have a transfer in to be eligible for any positions that open between now and March. Just because a position is not open now does not mean a position won’t open up between now and March. If you would like to transfer to a different yard or location, this is considered relocation. Relocations’ are not handled by Human Resources; rather they are completed through your supervisor or foreman. Please contact them for relocation information. Also, per the contract, relocation requests are only accepted during the same period as transfers. If you have any questions please contact Human Resources on or before the September 16, 2019 deadline at (402) 444-5304.
