Testing for Coronavirus/COVID-19
There will be no cost  for the employee for the appropriate medically necessary diagnostic testing, where it is not covered as part of the Public Health Service response.  Medically necessary treatment of COVID-19 will be subject to the plans deductible.
Prescription Medication
BCBSNE will be increasing access to prescription medication by waiving early medication refill limits on 30 - day prescription maintenance medications (according to the terms of our plan).  Opioids will still be limited.  We encourage you to use your mail order pharmacy for a 90 day fill of your medication.
Patients will also not be liable for additional charges that stem from obtaining a non-preferred medication if the preferred medication is not available due to shortage or access issues.

Starting Monday March 16th, 2020, BCBNE will cover, with no fee, the cost of all telehealth visits until further notice.  Please use telehealth before visiting your primary care doctor.
A flier to use telehealth is attached.
The service code is: BCBSNE
The coupon code: BCBSNEFREE
